Before you chase new customers, count how often the ones you have buy. Three numbers, one worked example from Kevin's Know Your Numbers training, and a 30-day test.

The short answer: EOS is an operating system for how a leadership team plans, meets and holds each other to account. A coach works on the specific numbers and constraints in your business. If your problem is a team that does not pull in the same direction, look hard at EOS. If your problem is that sales or margin has stalled and you do not yet know why, start with the constraint.

A disclosure first: Simple-Growth publishes this guide and sells coaching and online programs, so read it with that in mind. EOS facts below come from EOS Worldwide's own pages, opened and checked on 6 November 2026. Market: United States.

What Does EOS Actually Offer?

EOS Worldwide describes the EOS Model through six components: Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process and Traction. You can self-implement it, work with a Professional EOS Implementer from its directory, or use EOS One, its software. EOS Worldwide also offers a free Organizational Checkup and lists five free tools to download: the Vision/Traction Organizer, Accountability Chart, Scorecard, Rocks and Level 10 Meeting.

That is a generous free starting point, and it is worth using whichever route you choose. A framework you can try before you pay is a sign of confidence.

What Is Public On Cost?

EOS One's page shows "$10/user, everything included", with a 90-day guarantee that carries conditions; the page does not say whether the price is monthly or annual. For Implementers, EOS Worldwide's own page says the cost "varies by Implementer" and that "there isn't one universal price", so you ask the Implementer directly. The page says early stages often include a 90-Minute Meeting (described as free), a Focus Day and two Vision Building days, followed by Quarterly and Annual Planning, and that clients stay with an Implementer for about two years. It gives no dollar figures, so this guide gives none either.

Which Fits You: EOS Or A Coach?

I want bothEither, in orderA sensible order is to fix the constraint first, then build the rhythm that protects the fix

Six Questions To Ask Before You Commit To Either

  • What is the total cost for twelve months, in writing? Include fees, software and your team's time.
  • What should change in the first 90 days? Ask for a measure, not a feeling.
  • Who does the work between meetings? Most results are made there.
  • What happens if it is not working at month three? Look for a clear way out.
  • Can I speak to an owner at my size and stage? Size matters more than industry.
  • What will you tell me not to do? A good advisor removes work as well as adding it.

Why The Constraint Comes First

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics tracks how long new businesses last. Its Business Employment Dynamics table shows that for establishments opened in the year to March 2016, 50.7% were still operating five years later, and 34.2% after ten (private sector, all industries, United States). Those figures count establishments, not owners' satisfaction, but they are a reminder that a business can run smoothly and still lose its market. A tidy operating rhythm does not replace knowing where growth is leaking.

Simple-Growth starts there: find the one constraint, fix it first, then decide what system is worth adding. If you want to test the approach cheaply, there are three self-paced online programs, each shown with its price on its live page: Quick Wins ($97, 15 ways to grow sales), Making It Happen ($297, follow-through) and Know Your Future ($497, direction). Each page states a 30-day money-back guarantee. One-on-one coaching is quoted by conversation.

"I catch up with Kevin once a week and it is definitely the highlight of my week. Kevin being from a creative, advertising agency background, he just sees different opportunities so clearly. I would not have considered the B2C market as an opportunity before working with Kevin and now it is a major focus for us. He has opened up so many new opportunities for us."

John Roberts, Co-owner and Chief Operating Officer, Oragene. This is one client's experience; results vary.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is EOS the same as business coaching?

No. EOS is a framework and a set of tools, delivered by self-implementing or with a Professional EOS Implementer. Coaching is one-to-one work on your own numbers and decisions. They can complement each other.

Can I use EOS tools without hiring an Implementer?

EOS Worldwide says you can self-implement and lists five tools as free to download. Whether that is enough depends on how much time and discipline your team can give it.

How much does an EOS Implementer cost?

EOS Worldwide does not publish a figure. Its page says the cost varies by Implementer, so ask directly and get twelve-month costs in writing.

Which Simple-Growth program should I start with?

Quick Wins for fast sales ideas, Making It Happen for follow-through, Know Your Future for direction. If you are unsure, a free 30-minute call will tell you.

Pick the tool that fits the problem you actually have.

Not sure which one that is? Talk it through first. You can also read how to choose between a peer group and a coach, or browse the growth tips hub.
